Workplace wellbeing

Helping people stay calm, focused and resilient in demanding workplaces

Today’s workplaces ask a great deal of people.

Constant change, tight deadlines, information overload and back-to-back meetings leave many professionals operating in a state of chronic stress. Over time, this affects not only wellbeing but also focus, decision-making, creativity and recovery. It can lead to burnout and stress- and anxiety-related sick leave.

My workshops combine the science of breathing and nervous system regulation with practical techniques that people can use immediately: before an important presentation, during a stressful day or when it’s time to switch off and recharge.

Participants don’t simply learn about stress. They leave with practical skills for managing it.

Why work with me?

Before founding VIVA Breath, I spent more than twenty years designing learning experiences for universities and international organisations.

I worked at the University of Oxford, consulted for the World Health Organization (WHO) and contributed to projects with BBC Learning and Tate Britain.

Alongside this, I experienced first-hand what it means to work in cognitively demanding environments where high performance is expected every day.

Breathwork became a personal tool for managing stress long before it became my profession.

Today, I bring together these two worlds: evidence-informed breathing techniques and over two decades of expertise in adult learning. My sessions are grounded in science, highly interactive and designed to give participants practical skills they can use immediately.

Topics I cover

Workshops can be tailored to your organisation and typically include:

  • Managing stress through nervous system regulation
  • Improving focus and cognitive performance
  • Emotional regulation under pressure
  • Reducing the risk of burnout
  • Supporting sleep and recovery
  • Building long-term resilience through functional breathing

Sessions range from keynote talks and interactive workshops to guided restorative breathwork experiences.

Why this matters

According to the UK’s Health and Safety Executive (HSE), stress, depression and anxiety remain the leading causes of work-related ill health, accounting for the majority of working days lost. Burnout is recognised by the World Health Organization as an occupational phenomenon—not a personal failure.

Supporting wellbeing isn’t simply about reducing stress; it’s about creating the conditions in which people can think clearly, collaborate effectively and sustain high performance over time.

Breathing is one of the few tools we carry with us everywhere. Learning how to use it well can make a measurable difference to how we respond under pressure.
